An owner-operated studio built around calm chairs
Lumina Hair Studio started with one chair, one stylist, and a stubborn belief that a salon visit should feel restorative — not rushed.
After a decade behind chairs in high-volume salons, our owner Mara wanted something slower. Fewer guests per day. Real consultations. Enough time to process color properly instead of racing a timer.
That became Lumina: a small, owner-operated hair salon & beauty studio serving your area and the nearby neighborhoods. Our stylists specialize in dimensional color, balayage and blonding, textured and curly cutting, protective braiding, and hand-tied extensions — and we say so plainly when a service isn't right for your hair's condition.
You'll notice it the moment you sit down: soft light, good coffee, no shouting over blow dryers, and a stylist who asks what your mornings actually look like before suggesting a style you'd never keep up.
We're proud to be a neighborhood studio. Most of our guests come from a few minutes away, and most of them found us through someone they know.
